Colophon

The site is written in XHTML Transitional with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). This layout was designed by David Padfield using Adobe Creative Cloud, an impressive software suite that includes: Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, InDesign, Flash, Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.

Essential Plugins

While Adobe Dreamweaver is a compelling product, the folks at Project Seven make it even better by writing the finest plugins and extensions on the planet! For this site, I have used three of their products: Adaptive Menu Magic, Art Gallery Magic, and their HTML Toolkit.

Sitemap Services

All websites need a proper sitemap so search engines like Google, Bing, and Yandex can find and index all the files. I use Pro-Sitemaps.com to keep my HTML and graphics sitemaps up-to-date.

Search Engine

While Google offers a free search engine you can place on your website, it comes with slightly annoying advertisements. I opted to purchase the services of SiteSearch360—their search engine is fast, efficient, and relatively inexpensive.

The Photos

Most of the photographs of the Bible lands were taken with Nikon digital cameras. Older photographs were shot on 35mm slide film and then digitized with a Nikon Coolscan V slide scanner. Some printed photographs were scanned on an Epson Perfection Photo scanner. All images were color corrected and adjusted in Adobe Photoshop.

Audio Files

The MP3 audio files on this site were taken from old analog sources (cassette tapes) and converted into digital format in Apple GarageBand. The files were "cleaned up" with the aid of Bias SoundSoap, an advanced noise reduction and audio restoration tool.

Apple Only

A network of Apple Macintosh computers was used to create this site. No Microsoft products were used in the creation of this site.
