Christ Came Into The World To Save Sinners (1 Tim. 1:15)

• Purpose of His Birth (Matt. 1:21) and His death (Rom. 5:8)
• "He was manifested to take away our sins" (1 John 3:5)
• He finished His work (John 17:4; 19:30); Propitiation (1 John 2:2)

Desire To Be An Elder: It Is A Good Work (1 Tim. 3:1)

• Qualifications must be met (1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9)
• Appointed by gospel preachers (Titus 1:5)
• Must guard the flock (Acts 20:28) and stop vain talkers (Titus 1:10,11)
• Must be an example to the flock (1 Pet. 5:3)

Godliness Is Profitable For All Things (1 Tim. 4:8, 9)

• We must be living sacrifices (Rom. 12:1,2)
• We must walk in the light (1 John 1:7)
• We are dead to sin, but alive to God (Rom. 6:9-13)
• We will be judged by our deeds (2 Cor. 5:10)

• Not by works of our own righteousness (Eph. 2:8-10)
